JUNIOR SOMMELIER
About The Role:
Delivering exceptional wine service and enhancing the guest dining experience. This role
assists in wine selection, storage, and service while continuously developing product knowledge
to meet the standards of the establishment.
Core Work Activities:
● Assist in presenting, recommending, and serving wines to guests in accordance with
service standards.
● Support the management of wine inventory, including receiving, storing, and stock
rotation.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine cellar and service areas.
● Collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless coordination during dining service.
● Stay updated on wine regions, varieties, and trends to enhance guest interaction and
sales.
● Participate in wine training sessions and tastings to strengthen product knowledge.
Key Requirements:
● Proven 3+ experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment is preferred.
● Basic understanding of wine varieties, regions, and service techniques.
● Strong communication skills and a guest-focused attitude.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
● Willingness to learn and grow within the sommelier profession.
● Certification in wine (WSET or equivalent) is an advantage.
